The composition reads like a small building elevation — a tall open arch descending through three horizontal bars to a hammered half-moon base. It is a piece by a maker working in geometric, structural forms rather than figurative ones.

The antique finish is a deliberate design choice, not age. Darkening the recesses of hand-forged metal while burnishing the raised surfaces back to a soft shine brings out the hammer marks and linear detail, giving flat bronze a sense of depth.

Bronze wire and flat sheet are cut and hammered by hand to build the arch and cross bars, joined at the seams, then patinated and burnished. Because every bar is bent and every surface struck by hand, no two pairs come out identical.
