Here the stone leads and the setting follows. Some are rough-cut, with their natural shape left intact. Others are polished and bezel-set. Tourmaline, rainbow moonstone, onyx, malachite and Herkimer quartz each bring a color of their own.
Settings are sterling silver or gold-plated brass, made mostly in India, with a few pieces from Thailand and the USA. Natural stones vary, so yours will differ slightly from the photo.
