About Rings

Rings are looked at up close, by the wearer more than anyone. These favor weight and surface over delicacy: wide bands, stamped and granulated silver, cast forms with real relief.

Most are silver from Thailand and Indonesia, including high-purity hill tribe silver. A few cast pieces come from Türkiye. Size options are on each listing, and some are adjustable.

Finding your size

Ring sizes are listed on each piece in US sizes, and several bands are adjustable. To measure at home, wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters; a ring-size chart converts it. Wide bands fit more snugly than thin ones, so go up half a size for anything over 0.4 in wide.

Silver here is sterling (.925) or hill tribe silver, which is purer and slightly softer. Cast pieces are pewter-based alloy, lead- and nickel-free.

Is hill tribe silver better than sterling?

Different rather than better. Hill tribe silver is 95 to 99% silver against sterling's 92.5%, so it has a whiter, softer shine and tarnishes more slowly, but it also scratches a little more easily. Store it on its own.

Can these rings be resized?

The adjustable bands can be widened or narrowed gently by hand. Solid cast rings cannot be resized; check the size on the listing, and if it does not fit you have 30 days to return or exchange it.
