The Story

The ring belongs to a small tradition of jewelry made as wearable sculpture: a face reduced to a few essential planes and one continuous silhouette line. Worn on the hand, it reads almost like a small relief carving turned into an accessory.

It is cast in Türkiye, where small-metals casting and hand-finishing is steady, everyday work. Molten pewter zinc alloy is poured into a mold taken from a sculpted master; once cooled, each piece is filed, smoothed and buffed by hand to bring up the contrast between the raised profile and the recessed ground behind it.

The abstraction is the point — no fixed symbol, no tradition to decode. It is a study in how little detail is needed for a face to register.
