The Story

The piece comes out of Türkiye's contemporary metalwork scene, where sheet alloy and hand tools get pushed toward sculpture rather than ornament. Domed discs are worked one at a time and then massed together into a single dense shape.

The visual cue is geological — the irregular grouping of raised forms reads like a mineral cluster or eroded stone. Architectural thinking applied to a small object at the throat, closer to abstract sculpture than to traditional jewelry.

Each disc is cut and domed from sheet alloy, then joined into a cluster and fixed to a length of bendable wire shaped into a collar. The matte finish is worked by hand, darkening the recesses between discs so the mass carries depth and shadow rather than flat shine.
