Three sections meet at slim brass rings: bright turquoise glass across the top, a run of soft pink discs at one side, and three inky blue-and-white chinoiserie spheres marking the transition.

  • Material: Recycled glass, Ashanti glass, ceramic, brass
  • Color: Turquoise, pink, blue, white
  • Size: 7.5 in
  • Closure: Stretch cord
  • Origin: USA
  • Bead size: 12–15 mm

The pink beads sit almost like a graduated fan when the bracelet settles, then shift as it moves on the wrist. Sized to stretch on without a clasp, it keeps its rhythm worn alone or layered with plainer bands.

The ceramic and glass beads are handmade, so color, shape and paint pattern shift slightly from one bracelet to the next.

The Story

The pink and turquoise beads are Ashanti glass, made in Ghana from crushed recycled glass — often bottles — packed into clay molds, fired until it fuses, then finished by hand. The surface stays matte and slightly irregular, closer to sea glass than to anything machine-polished.

The blue-and-white spheres reference chinoiserie, a decorative language built on the blue-and-white porcelain motifs that came out of Chinese ceramics and traveled through global trade. Hand-painted onto small ceramic beads, no two brushstrokes land quite the same way.

Everything is strung by hand in the USA on stretch cord, with brass spacers set between the color groupings to give the bracelet its rhythm.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Ashanti recycled glass beadmaking

Keep away from water and store in a dry place to protect the paint and glass surfaces.

Questions

Will this bracelet fit my wrist?

It's a 7.5 in stretch bracelet, so it slips on without a clasp and fits most wrists comfortably.

Can I wear it in water?

Best to avoid water exposure to protect the ceramic paint and glass finish, and store the bracelet dry when it isn't being worn.

What are the pink beads made from?

Ashanti glass, made in Ghana from recycled glass. That's what gives them their soft, matte, slightly irregular surface.

Does it layer with other jewelry?

It's lightweight and stackable, so it layers cleanly with other bands or holds its own worn alone.
