Each pair is hand-wrapped individually, so thread color placement and pattern shift slightly from one pair to the next.

The technique is straightforward: wind lengths of repurposed thread tightly around a plain metal ring, working overlapping passes until the color builds up densely enough to hide the metal underneath. A row of small gold-tone beads is then set along the inner edge, one by one, to frame the wrap and hold it in place.

Stacking two hoops of different sizes adds movement and scale without adding weight. Because the thread is repurposed rather than dyed to spec, the color sequence shifts from pair to pair — part improvisation, part whatever happens to be on the bench that day.
