Dalmatian jasper is a natural stone and each necklace is hand-strung, so the speckle pattern and bead placement vary from piece to piece.

The piece is built by zone rather than by motif. A tight run of narrow aqua discs at the collar, a short passage of speckled jasper and stacked brass, then a wider fall of matte black rounds across the chest — the eye reads it in bands.

The chevron facets on the aqua beads are small V-cuts ground into each disc, meant to catch light along a strand without relying on a large stone. Dalmatian jasper takes its name from the black spotting across its pale ground — a naturally occurring mineral pattern, not a dyed finish, which is why it reads cleanly against the solid black and brass.

Hand-strung by independent makers in the United States. On a triple-strand build, the maker's judgment on tension and spacing is what keeps the strands hanging evenly instead of twisting.
