A curving band of hand-hammered coils and small open circles traces a wave across the collarbone. Polished silver-tone metal is broken by darkened recesses inside each spiral, catching light in uneven planes.

  • Material: Pewter zinc alloy, lead- and nickel-free
  • Color: Silver
  • Length: 22.5 in
  • Width: 1 in
  • Finish: Silver-tone with oxidized recesses
  • Origin: Türkiye

The sculptural section sits at the base of the throat, carried there by a fine oval-link chain that keeps the visual weight low. Worn against a plain crew or open collar, the coils become the one piece in an outfit that holds the eye.

Details
  • Hammered texture throughout
  • Alternating spiral and open-circle links
  • Fluid wave silhouette
  • Oxidized recesses that deepen each link
  • Lightweight silver-tone alloy

Because each link is hand-hammered, small differences in texture and shape appear from one piece to the next.

The Story

The necklace is built from a technique rather than a fixed pattern. Wire and sheet metal are annealed so they bend without cracking, coiled by hand into spirals and open circles, then worked over with a texturing hammer strike by strike before the links are joined into a single connected line.

Türkiye is home to some of the busiest metalworking districts in the world, where sheet and wire are still shaped, joined and finished largely by hand. The spiral and open circle are versatile forms rather than fixed symbols — they read as sculptural while showing the maker's hand in every uneven curve.

An oxidizing solution is applied at the end and wiped back so it settles into the low points of the hammer marks, adding depth and contrast without disguising the surface underneath. The piece is polished by hand to bring up the highlights while leaving the darkened texture in place.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-forged, hammered metalwork

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Store flat, away from moisture and perfume, to keep the hammered finish bright.

Questions

Is this real silver?

No. It is a pewter zinc alloy with a silver-tone finish, lead- and nickel-free.

How long is the necklace?

22.5 in overall, with the sculptural link section about 1 in wide.

Where is it made?

Türkiye, where each link is hand-hammered and joined by the maker.

Why are the recesses darker inside the coils?

That is an applied oxidizing finish that settles into the low points of the hammered texture, adding depth and contrast to the metal.

Will my necklace look exactly like the photo?

Very close, but not identical. Because each link is hand-hammered, small variations in texture and shape are part of the process.
