Sunrise Gradient Multi-Strand Beaded Necklace

Each necklace is hand-strung strand by strand, so small variations in bead shade, strand length and spacing are normal.

Multi-strand beadwork is the Tibetan reference being reworked here — historically strung with coral, turquoise and amber, layered together for both weight and status. Volume came from the quantity of strands. This piece takes that same principle and translates it into glass seed beads instead of stone.

The gradient is not printed; it is sorted. Beads are separated by shade before stringing, so the marigold-to-maroon transition falls at roughly the same point across all 29 strands. The brass-tone spacer bands break the color sections and keep the strands aligned as they hang.

Made by Tibetan artisans in Nepal and India. Each strand is threaded one bead at a time, then gathered and knotted with the spacers set in at each color shift. Around 29 strands per necklace — most of the work sits in the stringing itself.
