A row of open silver loops and tight coiled scrolls link across the collarbone, sitting flat as a single connected bib. The brushed finish softens each curve, so the shapes read as drawing rather than metal.

  • Material: Pewter zinc alloy
  • Color: Silver
  • Length: 21.5 in
  • Closure: Lobster clasp
  • Origin: Türkiye
  • Composition: Lead- and nickel-free

The composition arcs symmetrically from a scrolled center — bold in outline, but the open shapes keep it light against a turtleneck or crewneck. Worn over a plain dark top, the negative space inside each loop becomes part of the drawing.

Each piece is cast and hand-finished, so slight differences in the brushed surface and the exact curve of each link are normal.

The Story

Cast in a pewter zinc alloy in a Turkish workshop, the piece begins as a wax model of a single loop. The alloy is melted, poured into a mold made from that model, and cooled into the curled forms that repeat across the necklace.

Once out of the mold, each link is hand-filed to remove the seams, edges are smoothed, and the surface is buffed to bring up the soft brushed sheen. The individual pieces are then assembled by hand into the bib and finished with a lobster clasp.

The vocabulary is graphic rather than traditional — open loops and coiled scrolls that alloy casting handles cleanly, since a single mold produces the same crisp curve every time. What varies is the finish work, which happens piece by piece on the shop floor.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Cast alloy metalwork

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store away from moisture so the brushed finish keeps its softness.

Questions

What is the necklace made of?

Cast pewter zinc alloy, lead- and nickel-free.

How long is it, and is it adjustable?

It measures 21.5 in and closes with a lobster clasp for a secure, adjustable fit.

Is it heavy to wear?

It has presence as a bib-style piece, but the cast alloy links keep it lighter than a solid metal design of the same scale.

How do I keep it looking its best?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store away from moisture to preserve the brushed finish.
