Each cuff is hand-forged, so small differences in the fish's etching, the bell's tone and the shaping of the cuff are natural from one piece to the next.

Hilltribe silver is a hand-worked alloy from northern Thailand with a purity above the 92.5% of standard sterling. The result is a softer luster and a slightly warmer tone that darkens gently at the etched lines as the piece is worn.

The fish is a recurring motif in this region's silverwork, drawn from the rivers and rice-paddy waterways of the northern hills. Here it is rendered with hand-stamped scales and a curved tail — a form artisans return to often, refined slightly differently by each hand that shapes it.

The hidden bell is a hallmark of the tradition: two hollow silver halves are shaped and joined around a small loose ball, so the charm rings faintly with movement. The cuff itself is drawn from a single length of silver wire, bent by hand into the open shape so it flexes to fit different wrists without a clasp.
