Dozens of small round beads twist into a single dense collar, each one etched with a fine grooved line that catches the light against darkened recesses. Cool silver-gray, mostly matte, with a soft shine lifting off the raised surfaces.

  • Material: Silver-tone alloy, lead-free and nickel-free
  • Length: 21.5 in
  • Closure: Lobster clasp
  • Finish: Antique silver-tone, oxidized
  • Origin: India
  • Extender: 3 in

The bead cluster sits high and full on the neckline, chunky enough to carry a plain crew or scoop on its own. Adjustable through the extender from about 21.5 to 24.5 inches, so it can ride at the collarbone or drop a little lower.

Details
  • Densely clustered bead strands
  • Twisted layered construction
  • Ridged texture on each bead
  • Oxidized antique finish
  • Adjustable extender chain
  • Lobster clasp closure

The finish and beads are hand-applied, so slight variation in tone, shine and bead placement from one piece to the next is normal.

The Story

The construction clusters small beads into dense, twisted strands rather than spacing them along a single fine chain. What reads at a distance as one continuous textured mass is actually dozens of separate beads, each catching light along its own grooved surface.

The antique finish is deliberate work, not age. The metal is darkened in an oxidizing solution, then the raised areas of each bead are hand-rubbed back to bright metal by eye — which is why no two beads finish out identically.

The beads themselves are individually cast, then ridged, then oxidized before being strung and twisted in clusters along multiple cords. The clasp and extender go on last.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-oxidized metal beadwork

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Store flat or hanging, away from moisture, perfume and other jewelry to protect the antique finish.

Questions

Is this safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. The alloy is lead-free and nickel-free, which makes it a safer choice for those prone to metal sensitivity.

How long is it, and can I adjust the fit?

It measures about 21.5 in with a 3 in extender chain, so it wears anywhere from 21.5 in to roughly 24.5 in.

Is it heavy given how many beads it has?

It has real visual presence, but the beads are lightweight alloy rather than solid metal, so it wears comfortably for its scale.

Why does the finish look slightly uneven?

That is intentional. The beads are oxidized and then hand-rubbed to lift the highlights, so subtle variation in tone from bead to bead is part of the finish, not a flaw.

How should I clean and store it?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear and store away from moisture and perfume to help the antique finish last.
