The Story

The wing motif here is graphic rather than symbolic — a shape used for its repetition, not for what it represents. Dozens of identical tabs read as texture and rhythm along the chain, drawing the eye down the Y-drop to a single finishing pendant.

Building a chain from many small identical parts, each cut, filed and soldered on by hand, is a Turkish workshop tradition rather than a shortcut. It takes as much bench time as a single cast piece — just distributed across dozens of joins.

Each wing tab starts as a flat piece of pewter, stamped to shape and filed clean before it's soldered onto the chain under a torch. The jeweler checks spacing and alignment as the piece comes together, so the tabs graduate evenly from the shoulders down to the single pendant at the drop.
