Four soft-edged silver discs cluster into an asymmetrical drop, with the largest anchoring the top and three smaller pebbles overlapping below. The surface reads matte, shadowed in the low spots so each disc looks worked rather than polished.

  • Material: Silver-plated metal alloy
  • Color: Silver
  • Length: 2 in
  • Width: 1.1 in
  • Closure: Fish hook
  • Origin: Türkiye

Cut from thin sheet, the earrings carry visual scale without much actual weight, so a two-inch drop sits lightly on the lobe. The pebble-like silhouette keeps the piece contemporary rather than coin-heavy, and the uneven surfaces catch light differently as they move.

Details
  • Cascading multi-disc silhouette
  • Hand-hammered texture
  • Asymmetrical organic shapes
  • Antiqued light-catching finish
  • Fishhook ear wire

Each disc is hand-hammered and silver-plated, so slight variation in tone, texture and patina from piece to piece is normal.

The Story

The disc is one of the oldest forms in metal jewelry, and hammered coin-like shapes have long been part of adornment across Anatolia, where metalwork runs through daily and ceremonial dress. Rather than a single flat face, each disc here is worked by hand so the surface catches light unevenly — movement in place of polish.

The clustered arrangement echoes how coins and metal discs were traditionally grouped on jewelry, belts and headpieces, where more pieces signaled abundance and worked as layered decoration. That same logic is scaled down here into a drop earring.

Sheet alloy is cut into rough disc blanks, then hammered by hand against a steel block so each takes on an uneven surface and irregular edges. The metal is darkened to bring out the low spots, plated in a silver tone, and linked from largest to smallest onto a fishhook ear wire.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-hammered metalwork

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from water, lotion and perfume to protect the plating.

Questions

Are these earrings heavy?

The discs are cut from thin sheet metal, so despite their visual scale they sit relatively light on the earlobe.

What is the ear wire made of?

A standard fishhook ear wire finished to match the silver-tone discs.

Will the finish wear or tarnish over time?

The antiqued look is part of the design. Keeping the earrings away from water, lotion and perfume, and wiping them with a soft dry cloth, will help the plating last.

Are these good for sensitive ears?

These are a plated alloy rather than solid silver, so anyone with metal sensitivities may want to be mindful of extended wear.

Is every pair identical?

No. Because each disc is hand-hammered, small differences in texture and tone between pairs are expected.
