Each necklace is hand-strung and crocheted, so small differences in strand length and bead tone are normal from one piece to the next.

The multi-strand format is Nepali — pote, the layered glass-bead necklaces worn across the country, most often in green-and-gold or red-and-gold pairings. This piece keeps the deep-to-bright green pairing but drops the marital signalling that pote traditionally carried, leaving the form as a purely visual object.

Each strand is hand-strung on thread, the beads sorted by shade first so the chartreuse column and forest edges land where they should. The strands are then cut to slightly different lengths — that stagger is what makes the finished necklace cascade against the neck rather than sit flat, and what gives it its fluid drape.

The closure is finished separately: a small cotton button and matching loop, both hand-crocheted, sit where a metal clasp would usually go and keep the piece entirely soft in the hand.

Store flat or hanging so the many strands don't tangle, and avoid tugging on any individual strand. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth and keep away from moisture and perfume.
