The Story

Clay gives the artisan a broad, smooth surface to paint on without the weight of metal or stone. The teardrop is hand-shaped, dried, and sanded before any pattern goes down.

The triangles, chevrons and dots covering half the pendant belong to a wider vocabulary of geometric motifs across Indian folk and decorative arts — repeating shapes used purely as visual rhythm.
