Collars in this tradition are built from many small hand-formed elements rather than a single cast piece, and the density of florets running the full length is what gives the chain its shine.

The rose at the center is worked in repoussé and chasing — hammered from behind, then refined on the front — and set as a raised focal point against the beaded field. The blackened recesses in the petals and the florets are a deliberate finishing step, meant to keep the hand-formed detail visible rather than let it flatten into a uniform gleam.
