The Story

The whole piece is built from one repeated form — a round metal bead, coated in either brushed gold or a darker gunmetal, then strung by hand into a double strand and twisted so the two colors spiral around each other instead of sitting flat.

The finish on each bead is left slightly uneven. That is the point: metal beads coated and strung by hand will not come out identical, and here the small variations in shine and tone give the coil its depth and warmth.

Made in India, drawing on a regional practice of building bold, wearable jewelry bead by bead rather than casting it in a single mold.
