Because each ring is hand-hammered, texture, curve and the exact play of light across the surface vary slightly from one piece to the next.

Each ring starts as a length of brass wire, cut and shaped into a circle, then hand-hammered on a steel stake to flatten and texture the surface. The faceted, uneven catch of light across the metal is a direct result of that hammering — cast rings would sit flat and even; these do not.

The bib shape draws on a South Asian design language where volume is built from many small linked elements rather than one large centerpiece. Here that principle is translated into a modern form: dozens of individually hammered rings, graduated in size, looped together so the piece has real dimension and swing when worn.

The work is divided across small metalworking workshops in India, with hammering, link-forming and plating typically handled by different artisans who each specialize in one stage before the piece is assembled and finished.

Keep dry and away from perfume or lotion. Store flat in a pouch so the rings do not tangle and the gold-tone finish does not wear thin.
