The Story

Wire coiling is a long-practiced brass technique in Kenya. A single length of wire is wound by hand around a form to build cones, spirals and other fitted parts without solder, tensioned evenly so the coils sit flush.

Here the coiling is paired with carved bone. Each drop is cut into a slim marquise silhouette and scored with rows of shallow circle-and-dot impressions, so the cream surface holds quiet pattern instead of reading flat.

Brass and bone are treated as equals: metal for the structural cap and the spiral accent, bone for the light, wearable drop. Both are shaped by hand before they are joined, which is why the pair is matched by eye rather than manufactured to be identical.
