Each ceramic bead is hand-painted and each wooden bead individually hand-wrapped, so small differences in color placement, floral detail and crochet tension are part of the piece.

Two hand-crafts share one strand: ceramic bead painting and thread-crochet bead wrapping. Painting florals onto fired clay is a brush-by-brush process, and setting those glazed beads next to cotton-wrapped wood ones puts a smooth, reflective surface against a soft, textured one within the same piece.

The floral motif is a recurring thread in Indian decorative work, where small repeating blossoms carry color and pattern across pottery, textile and painted furniture. Scaled down to bead size, each ceramic piece reads almost like a tiny painted tile.

Each ceramic bead is shaped, fired and then hand-painted in layered color before it is sealed. Wooden beads are wrapped separately in cotton crochet thread, bead by bead, tight enough to hold shape while the round form stays visible beneath. The finished beads are strung in sequence, with color, shape and spacing balanced along the strand before the clasp is set.

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store flat or hanging. Keep away from water, perfume and prolonged sun, which can fade the painted finish and loosen the crochet wrap.
