Rows of tiny silver florets graduate outward from a sharp V at the front, each recessed detail darkened so the raised beadwork catches light against shadow. The edge is scalloped with small beaded studs, giving the band a lace-like density.

The band narrows to a slim single row at the nape and thickens to several rows across the front, so weight sits low and the pattern reads as a graphic on the collarbone. The adjustable extender lets it shift between the base of the throat and a slightly longer drop.

Each floret and bead is hand-formed and soldered individually, so small differences in shape, spacing and oxidation appear from piece to piece.

The Story

This is Hill Tribe silver — a Karen silversmithing tradition from the highlands of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. The metal runs 94 to 98 percent pure, higher than sterling's 92.5, which is a working characteristic of the practice rather than a decorative claim.

The floret pattern is built one small unit at a time: individual silver beads and petal shapes are formed, then soldered together in clusters along a linked band. Rows graduate in size, thickening toward the front to shape the V.

After assembly, the silver is oxidized to darken the recesses. The raised florets and beading stay bright, so light catches the highlights and shadow settles into the pattern.

Store in a sealed bag or box away from air and moisture. Polish gently with a soft silver cloth to preserve the oxidized detail without buffing it away.
