Dozens of small fabric-wrapped beads pack the full round of the coil, each in a different color — teal, magenta, mustard, olive, deep blue, rose — with tiny gold dots scattered between them, catching light against the matte cotton.

  • Material: Upcycled Kantha cotton textile, wood beads
  • Color: Multicolor
  • Length: 10.5 in, coiled
  • Closure: Memory wire, no clasp
  • Origin: India
  • Metal: Alloy, gold-toned accent beads

Memory wire coils to wrap most wrists without a clasp — slide it on and let it settle into place. The dense cluster gives real width across the wrist, and the mix of prints shifts as the bracelet moves.

Details
  • Hand-wrapped textile beads
  • Multicolor mixed-print silhouette
  • Coiled memory wire for a stretch-free fit
  • Gold-toned metal bead accents

Every bead is wrapped from a different scrap of remnant fabric, so no two bracelets carry quite the same mix of colors and prints.

The Story

The fabric wound around each bead is kantha cloth, a running-stitch textile from West Bengal and Bangladesh in which layers of old saris and cotton wraps are stitched together into new, sturdy material. Historically it was a way to keep worn textiles in use, turning frayed saris into quilts and wraps.

Because the cloth is upcycled, every bead is cut from a different piece of recycled sari or cotton, so the bracelet's color field is really a small archive of prior garments: a stripe here, a floral there, a solid weave next to it. That patchwork logic is central to kantha, not incidental.

On this piece, dozens of those beads are massed into one dense, rounded form, so the bracelet reads less like a single motif and more like a hand-assembled mosaic, with small gold-toned beads breaking up the color at intervals.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Kantha textile wrapping

Keep away from moisture, perfume and rough handling. Store flat in a dry place when not being worn.

Questions

Will it fit my wrist?

It measures 10.5 in and coils on memory wire, so it wraps to fit most wrists without a clasp.

What is it made from?

Small wood beads individually wrapped in upcycled kantha textile scraps, strung on memory wire with gold-toned alloy accent beads.

Will my bracelet look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly. Each bead is hand-wrapped from remnant fabric, so the mix of colors and prints varies slightly from piece to piece.

How do I take care of it?

Keep it away from moisture, perfume and rough handling, and store it in a dry place when it is not being worn.
