Dozens of fine iridescent strands drape in violet and indigo, gathered to one side by three painted ceramic orbs. The asymmetric weight of those beads pulls the whole composition off-center — that's where the eye lands.

  • Material: Glass seed beads, hand-painted ceramic, base metal clasp
  • Color: Purple-blue
  • Length: 30.5 in
  • Closure: Base metal clasp
  • Origin: India

At 30.5 inches, it falls long enough to layer over a high neckline or sit as its own focal point on something plain. The seed strands shift as you move, so the composition never quite settles.

Details
  • Multi-strand cascading design
  • Three 17 mm hand-painted ceramic accent beads
  • Iridescent glass seed beads
  • Base metal clasp

The ceramic beads are hand-painted and the strands individually strung, so color, pattern and bead placement shift from piece to piece.

The Story

Multi-strand seed bead necklaces are built one cord at a time, then gathered so the strands fall together in a soft, layered drape. It's a way of turning a very small material — glass seed beads — into volume, movement and depth of color that a single strand can't reach.

The three ceramic beads at the center come from a different craft entirely: hand-shaped, fired, then painted with a fine brush before a final glaze seals the color. The florals are drawn in loose, painterly strokes rather than a repeating pattern, so each bead reads as its own small composition.

Made in India, where the two skills — stringing and pottery painting — sit close enough to end up on one piece.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-painted ceramic beadwork

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Keep away from water and prolonged sun, and store flat or hanging so the strands don't tangle.

Questions

How long is it?

30.5 in. The clasp is not adjustable.

What are the fine beads made of?

Iridescent glass seed beads, strung across multiple cords for a layered, cascading drape.

Are the ceramic beads hand-painted?

Yes. Each of the three 17 mm ceramic beads is painted individually, so no two are exactly alike.

What metal is the clasp?

A base metal clasp. The color and character of the piece come from the glass and ceramic, not from precious metal.

How do I care for it?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Keep it away from water and prolonged sun, and store it flat or hanging so the strands don't tangle.
