The Story

The bead sequence is graduated deliberately: small discs at the shoulders, building through black rounds and cream ovals to the trio of broad red ovals at the front. Knots between each bead hold the arrangement in place and give the necklace movement rather than rigidity.

The color is hand-painted rather than dyed through. Each bead is turned on a lathe, sanded, then painted in layered coats to build a solid finish — which is why the brushwork varies slightly from bead to bead.
