Rose quartz is a natural stone, so color depth and faceting vary slightly from pair to pair.

The teardrop, or pear cut, is one of the oldest stone shapes in jewelry — a rounded head tapering to a point, which catches light differently depending on how it hangs. Here three of them are stacked in a graduated line, a common device in Indian brass jewelry for building movement and length without adding weight.

Each stone is held by a bezel — a thin rim of metal worked around the stone's edge until it sits snug and fully framed. It is slower than prong-setting but more forgiving of hand-cut stones like rose quartz, whose thickness varies.

Each earring starts as a sheet of brass, cut and shaped into three teardrop bezels, then hammered and burnished for warmth. A jeweler facets the rose quartz separately, sets each stone, and links the three drops onto a post — all done at the bench in small batches.
