The Story

Hilltribe silver comes out of the silversmithing communities of northern Thailand, where the metal is worked at a higher purity than standard sterling. That softer alloy responds well to fine hand-tooling, which is why a pattern this detailed reads so clearly on the band.

The spiral is hand-etched rather than cast. Recessed lines are darkened with an oxidizing solution while the raised surface is buffed back to a bright polish, and the contrast is what makes the rope move — the eye follows the dark line around the band.

Cuffs like this one are formed and sized by hand at each stage, then curved with an open back so the wearer can adjust the fit.
