Three strands of frosted round beads settle into a deep U at the neckline, shifting from pale blush and cream through warm amber and rust. Above them, brass chevron fringe and stacked cream cube-and-zigzag columns build a graphic scaffold up to the clasp.

  • Material: Fire agate, magnesite, hematite, glass, brass
  • Stones: Fire agate, magnesite, hematite
  • Color: Blush, amber, cream, brass
  • Length: 22.5 in
  • Origin: USA
  • Extender: 3 in
  • Bead diameter: 15 mm

The beads run large — 15 mm — so the strands hold their weight against the collarbone rather than draping soft. Wear it against something quiet: a crew neck, a plain button-down, a solid dress. The rest reads as composition.

Fire agate and magnesite are natural stone. Color, veining and texture shift from bead to bead, so no two necklaces read exactly alike.

The Story

Graduated strands are one of the older ideas in beadwork — sizing stones so color and weight build toward the front of the neckline. The zigzag running down the brass fringe and the cream cylinders is a straight geometric chevron, the same repeating angle you find anywhere metal or stone gets cut into edges rather than curves.

Fire agate is layered bands of iron oxide trapped inside chalcedony, which is why every bead lands somewhere different in amber, rust and rose. Magnesite is cut and polished into matte cubes that give the eye a flat place to rest between the more mottled rounds. The pairing — high-shine mineral against matte, faceted round against squared cube — is the whole design idea.

Designed and assembled in a US studio, bead by bead onto three wires that are gathered and finished together at a single clasp.

Craft & Care

Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth and store flat. Keep away from water, perfume and other chemicals, which dull both the stones and the brass finish.

Questions

How long is this necklace?

About 22.5 in, with a 3 in extender chain — so anywhere from 22.5 to 25.5 in depending on neckline.

What are the beads made of?

Fire agate, magnesite and hematite, with brass connectors, spacers and chevron-cut fringe.

Will mine look exactly like the photo?

Close, but not identical. Fire agate and magnesite are natural stone, so color, veining and texture shift slightly from piece to piece.

Can I wear this in water or with perfume?

Better not to. Water, perfume and other chemicals dull both the stone finish and the brass over time. Treat it as a put-on-last piece.

Where is it made?

Handcrafted in small batches at a studio in the USA.
