Two tapered ends curve past one another in an open spiral, the band widening then narrowing along its length. Shadow settles into the low points; the raised surfaces catch a warm metallic glint.

  • Material: Bronze
  • Length: 11 in unwrapped
  • Width: 0.5–0.825 in
  • Closure: Adjustable open wrap
  • Finish: Oxidized
  • Origin: Türkiye

The open coil eases around the wrist without a clasp, adjustable by gently opening or closing the wrap. Worn alone it reads as sculpture; stacked with other bronze or mixed metal, it adds a sharp graphic line.

The Story

The form is a wrap cuff — an open coil rather than a closed band — so it curves around the wrist and overlaps rather than clasping shut. The tapered, pointed ends give it a drawn, almost graphic quality, and the fit adjusts simply by easing the metal open or closed.

Bronze has been worked into adornment across Anatolia for a very long time, and Türkiye's metalsmithing workshops still carry that skillset into contemporary studio jewelry. This piece belongs to that current practice: a modern sculptural form made with hammer and anvil.

The darker tone across the surface is worked in on purpose. Patina settles into the hammer marks and low points; the high points are burnished back so the metal reads with contrast rather than a uniform shine.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-forged bronze metalsmithing

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing and store in a closed pouch away from moisture and lotions to slow natural tarnishing.

Questions

Will the bracelet fit my wrist?

The open wrap is slightly adjustable. Ease the band gently more open or closed to fit most wrist sizes.

Why does the bronze look dark and uneven in places?

That is an oxidized finish worked into the hand-hammered texture on purpose. Each piece varies slightly as a result.

Will the bronze tarnish over time?

Bronze develops more patina with age and exposure to air and moisture. Wiping it after wear and storing it dry slows that process.

Is it safe to wear in water or with lotion?

Remove it before swimming, showering, or applying lotions and perfumes, since moisture and chemicals accelerate tarnishing.

Where is it made?

Handmade in Türkiye by a metalsmith who forges and shapes the bronze by hand.
