Three solid color blocks — red, yellow and cobalt blue — twist together as a multi-strand collar of coin-flat discs, reading almost like a painted color field across the neckline.

  • Material: Wood, horn
  • Color: Red, yellow, cobalt blue
  • Length: 21 in
  • Closure: Horn eye-and-hook
  • Origin: Philippines

The collar sits close to the neck with real volume, the strands twisting into layers that catch light differently as they move. Wear it over a plain top and let the color blocks do everything — no other jewelry needed.

Details
  • Multi-strand construction
  • Disc-cut wood beads
  • Three-color palette in solid blocks
  • Horn eye-and-hook clasp
  • Hand-dyed in small batches

Each disc is hand-dyed in small batches from natural wood, so small differences in color, disc shape and grain from piece to piece are normal.

The Story

Made in the Philippines, where wood and horn have long been used for multi-strand necklaces built around volume and movement rather than a single tidy line of beads. The construction is generous — dozens of discs on each cord, many cords twisted together.

The palette is graphic on purpose. Red, yellow and cobalt sit in separate solid blocks rather than mixed at random, and that grouping is what gives the piece its flag-like structure across the neckline.

Each disc is cut from wood, sanded to a uniform edge, then hand-dyed in small batches, colors kept in separate vats to hold their saturation. The strands are twisted together by hand as they are strung, and the horn clasp is shaped and polished separately to carry the weight at the back.

Questions

How long is the necklace?

Approximately 21 in, sized to sit as a bold collar at the base of the neck.

What is it made from?

Hand-dyed wood discs strung on multiple strands, finished with a polished horn eye-and-hook closure.

How should I care for it?

Keep it away from water and direct heat, wipe it clean with a soft dry cloth, and store it flat in a cool, dry place.

Is it heavy to wear?

It has real presence as a multi-strand piece, but the wood beads are light, so it stays comfortable for extended wear.
