The Story

The construction is a longstanding pairing in East African metalwork: a dense natural material set into a hammered brass collar. Horn takes a high polish and holds a fine, tapered shape; brass is soft enough to be worked smooth around the narrow end, protecting the point where the drop meets the wire.

The elongated shape and pull-through wire are built for movement and line — an earring meant to hang and catch light along its length rather than sit against the lobe.
