Ten pale, uneven slices of agate ring the collarbone, each held in a bright gold bezel shaped to its own outline. The stones vary — milky, translucent, faintly veined — and no two frames repeat.

  • Material: Natural white agate, gold-plated brass
  • Color: White with warm gold
  • Length: 20.5 in with 2 in extender
  • Origin: India
  • Slice size: 0.875–1.25 in
  • Setting: Bezel

The slices graduate loosely in scale, so the composition never falls into symmetry — one plate might be an inch across, the next barely larger than a fingertip. Worn against a plain white or cream top, the gold bezels catch the light before the stones do.

Details
  • Ten hand-set agate slices
  • Adjustable chain with 2 in extender
  • Individually bezel-framed stones
  • Varied plate sizes across the strand

Each agate slice is cut from natural stone, so veining, translucency and exact shape vary slightly from piece to piece.

The Story

Agate is a banded chalcedony that forms in layers inside gas pockets in rock, which is why each slice carries its own pattern of translucence and mineral veining. Leaving the slices in their organic outline shows off the stone as it came out of the ground rather than forcing it into a uniform shape.

Pairing raw-cut agate with gold-plated brass is a familiar language in Indian jewelry making, where metal framing lifts a natural material rather than competing with it. The bezel holds each irregular slice securely while letting its edges and texture stay visible.

Each necklace is built by hand. An artisan selects and sequences ten slices for balance and flow, forms a gold-plated brass bezel around each stone's uneven outline, then joins the finished links with an adjustable chain and extender.

Craft & Care
  • Technique: Hand-set bezel jewelry

Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth. Store away from moisture and direct sunlight to protect the gold plating.

Questions

How long is the necklace and can it be adjusted?

It measures about 20.5 in with a 2 in extender chain, so the drop can be shortened or lengthened to sit where you prefer.

Will the gold plating tarnish?

Gold plating can dull over time with moisture and friction. Wiping it dry after wear and storing it away from humidity helps keep the finish looking its best.

Is it heavy to wear?

Ten stone slices give the necklace real presence and some natural weight — it sits with intent rather than disappearing into the neckline.

Where is it made?

Handmade in India, with each agate slice individually cut, set and linked by hand.
