Domed disc pendants strung in a row are a familiar form in Indian metal jewelry. Flat or slightly raised medallions catch light against the collarbone; here, five of them repeat down a cord in one continuous graphic line.

The antiqued finish is a deliberate choice. After casting, artisans darken the alloy and rub back the high points, so the recesses of the beaded rim and the raised centers hold shadow while the crowns stay bright.

Stringing the discs on a black cord rather than a polished chain keeps the eye on the metalwork itself, and the small fluted spacer beads do the quieter work of holding everything in rhythm.
